That look in his eye.
*wheezing* XD
Wasn't there supposed to be a Zoad the immortal camio??
During the Battle for Doldrey, while observing Guts and Boscogn's duel from afar, Zodd throws his sword toward Guts for the swordsman to wield after his own breaks mid-battle.
WHERE IS IT ??
yea no flippin' clue why they cut that. it was in the 90's anime
INdeed I was disappointed :(
Nonetheless i still find the fight pretty amusing!
I was wondering where that was too. That was a real important moment for Gut's character arc, not to mention such a cool scene to see because of how it gave Gut's the edge to beat that general.
It's not really important as you said but I would prepare to see it.
Yeah, I was So Disappointed. I was like "Wait, That's Not How it Happened".
Caska be like: It's over anikan i have the high ground!
i can't wait for Caska getting long hair again
Took me a while to realize it but the King of Delroy is voiced by the same guy who voices Franky in the Japanese version of One Piece. lol
Yeah Me too. I was Trying So hard To Remember it. And Then at Middle of the Episode It Finally Hit me.
Back for an amazing anime berserk battle going to be bloody.
Nice
Where were the throngs of women shouting for Guts!? These bitches got no taste.
Yeah, I Agree.
wtf another berserk?.... rather than progress the plot they just keep regurgitating the same old material..... like move FORWARD its been like 20 fcking years already and they are still using the same old material when the manga goes ape sht later on in the series.... so much manga material and so far the animes for this series has gone pretty much no where.... this is lame...
This is the reboot and is required to set up the base of the plot, since you have to watch the entire 1990s series + 3 old movies + 2016 & 2017 shitty 3D. It just creates the base of what is going to come and I seriously like how it's going so far.
Plus, not everyone likes to read manga (me included, although Berserk and Tokyo Ghoul are the exception).
Um not really, not everyone knows. Especially the people who are new to anime. And new animation is always better in my opinion.
Plus you too know it bro, what happened with Berserk. Unless new materials are released in manga, they can't animate it. Studios always try to stay behind the source material as long as possible. Example :- Hunter x Hunter. It too got a reboot but caught up with the storyline.
it's not another one. it's the same one. the exact same movies from around 2013 just with some added scenes and remasters. it's an anniversary edition for the thousands of people who may not know about any Berserk anime(new fans). The choice was either remake the series again(again) which ain't gonna happen AGAIN, so they just reair this and then...maybe they'll remaster the 2016/2017 series and we get some new content after that. The point is, a production committee doesn't want to pick up 5+ years after a previous season, they're too nervous about how that would be received by randos who would watch the series. This is their safe option. But yeah...wondering if there's any hope to get an adaptation of volumes 1-3 and the Lost Children's arc since both have been caught in limbo.
Unlike the other animations, this brings the modern look + a lot of essential fixes such as sound. I'm so glad for this memorial edition I finally get to see a full berserk anime
My main disappointment, is that we didn't get to see Zodd throw his sword on the battlefield which Gut's used that gave him the edge to beat the general. Real important character moment they cut out.
If by "real important" you mean, crappy "chosen one" logic, then yes. REAL IMPORTANT to show that our main character couldn't have gotten a new sword from a compatriot or just, NOT have his sword snap in the most important battle of his life...
BTW why the hell would Zodd even be there? Just feels like lame author interference.
It is to remind us of the big picture. By showing Nosferatu Zodd or Puck(or at least his fairy dust) here and there; the Kentaro sensei reminds us that there is a whole different side to this world and destiny, or the Law of Causality, has a huge role to play in the upcoming events.
The Sword Toss is a crucial scene of Berserk saga.
I agree.
You Got it wrong. To Zodd it's not Guts That's Chosen One It's Griffith. And it also shows that there are Some foes that Guys Might not be able to Beat, Without Outside Interference. So yeah I think it's a really important Moment.
The battlefield is terrible...
Now that they have obtained a kingdom - where will it all lead?
GENERAL FRANKY asumming control of the suuuuuupeeerrrrr army
Awww that wraps up quite nicely :3
that showdown with boscogn was laggy af, couldn't see what happened there - besides i liked it better how it was handled in the old anime version
That parade gave me some bad 2016/17 vibes.
How is it ,That the 1997 version did this fight so much Better than Current Version? When Guts Cut that Bastard Down In 1997 version it was So Clean. Here they just put A Still Frame. Also where is the Scene where Zodd Throws His Axe To Help out Guts.
SUPARRRRRRRR!!!
Must suck to be Casca, losing to the same guy twice. The guy is obviously still injured and yet you lose again? Man...
Even the slaves where killed.
woah why would the band of the hawk go and kill the women and boys in the baths? they wouldn't have been fighting back they're civillians and probably there against their wishes
Wow! Great stuff. Amazing scenes. I loved the part where Nosferatu Zod made an appearance. Also; the aftermath of the castle siege was bloody, with all the boy-toys killed and the pool of sodomy having turned blood red... great stuff.
Who's Guts?
bruh
This is what I'm reading right now~
Old man down bad for that bussy until the very end.
